Texas A&M’s Abby O’Mara Named NCEA Dual Discipline Jumping Seat Coach of the Year

Texas A&M equestrian Associate Head Coach Abby O’Mara has been honored as the National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA) Dual Discipline Jumping Seat Coach of the Year. Under her leadership, the Aggies achieved strong records in both Flat and Fences events, with standout riders Grace Shipman and Kate Egan earning All-America, All-SEC, and NCEA All-Championship Team honors. Newcomer Logan Thomas also received SEC All-Freshman Team recognition.

O’Mara’s coaching helped Texas A&M secure its first SEC Championship title and finish as national runners-up at the NCEA National Championship during the 2025-26 season. Head coach Tana McKay praised O’Mara for her dedication to shaping athletes and raising the program’s standards, highlighting her lasting impact on the team and the collegiate equestrian community.
