British dressage rider Sadie Smith celebrated a double victory at the NAF Five Star Winter dressage Championships, winning the Prestige novice gold with Times Rococo and the Baileys Horse Feeds novice freestyle gold with the same horse, affectionately known as “Coco.” Smith praised Coco’s boldness and improving relaxation, highlighting the five-year-old’s beautiful attitude and consistent performances despite minor tension in the walk. Other notable competitors included Dannie Morgan and Jezz Palmer, who secured second and third places respectively in the novice gold category.
At the Petplan Winter Area Festival Championships, Megan Armor triumphed in the elementary bronze with her 10-year-old horse Dare To Trust, a former RSPCA rescue who has blossomed under her care. LucyAnna Westaway also shone by winning the intermediate I bronze on her 15-year-old gelding AHI O Malley, delivering a steady and confident test. Both riders expressed pride and joy in their horses’ progress and achievements, underscoring the rewarding journey of training and partnership in dressage.
