Day one of the NAF Five Star Winter dressage Championships at Addington showcased impressive performances across several categories. Carmen Gammie triumphed in the prix st georges silver with her gelding Lets Make An Opera M, scoring 67.01% despite some early-level challenges and overcoming the horse’s previous illness. Greg Dickens and family horse Brutus G won the medium bronze with a consistent 70%, highlighting the horse’s transition from eventing to dressage. Meanwhile, Dannie Morgan captured the elementary freestyle gold on the talented and spirited mare Fürst Lady, achieving a commanding 78.08% with a confident and polished test.
The event highlighted not only competitive success but also the strong bonds and development journeys between riders and their horses. From overcoming health setbacks to refining skills under expert guidance, the riders demonstrated dedication and progress.
