Kentucky Humane Society to Close East Campus and Build New 54,000-Square-Foot Facility

The Kentucky Humane Society (KHS) is closing its East Campus at 1000 Lyndon Lane, with the last day for adoptions there set for July 26. This closure is part of KHS’s larger “ALL IN” campaign, which involves selling existing properties—including the Behavior Retreat and Eastpoint Pet Resort—and relocating operations to a new 54,000-square-foot facility near the Preston Highway interchange. Adoption services will continue at the Sam Swope Pet Treatment and Lifesaving Center on Steedly Drive during the transition.

The new campus aims to provide expanded space for animals, a public veterinary clinic, and additional pet support services, enhancing KHS’s ability to serve the community. Proceeds from the sale of the East Campus and other properties will fund the construction of this modern facility, reflecting KHS’s commitment to building improved resources for animals and people in Kentucky.
