Euroa recently hosted its first combined staging of two state carriage driving championships—the 2026 Victorian Graded Driven dressage Championship and the 2026 Victorian Show Driving Championship—over two perfect autumn days. The event, organized by the Mornington Carriage Driving Club, attracted strong entries, especially at the introductory level, and drew steady spectator interest, including international visitors. Clear skies and mild weather contributed significantly to the event’s success, with local community promotion helping build enthusiasm.

The championships also benefited from the concurrent Euroa and District Poultry Club auction, which brought additional curious spectators, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere. Club president Deb Hoffrichter highlighted the event’s role in introducing and demystifying carriage dressage to many who had never seen the sport up close, fostering greater involvement and support within the community.
