The AEIE NSW Young Horse & Pony Championships Round 2 showcased impressive performances across various age groups, highlighting standout horses and riders. In the four-year-old class, Stryker K, ridden by Karen Blythe, dominated with an 88.4% score, demonstrating exceptional submission and overall quality. The five-year-old class saw MW Boom with Jessica Dertell excel at 81%, closely followed by Glenhill Quatessence. Riley Alexander featured prominently in the six-year-old category, winning on Glenhill Totil Star with 85%, while the seven-year-old class was topped by Osaka P and Jess Dertell with 75.672%.
Each class displayed a range of talented horses with distinct strengths, from natural uphill movement to expressive paces and test execution. The top combinations from each age group will compete in the final round on Saturday, where New Zealand guest rider Kallista Field will showcase these promising young horses, providing an exciting opportunity to see different training styles and equine types come together.
