At the Mannheim CDI4* event in Germany on May 2, 2026, Isabell Werth and her 10-year-old stallion Viva Gold continued their flawless Big Tour record by winning the Grand Prix Special with a score of 76.319%, marking their fourth consecutive victory in top-level competition since their debut four weeks earlier. Werth, the world’s No. 3 rider and the most decorated equestrian in Olympic history, showcased her exceptional skill with Viva Gold, a horse she has developed into a top competitor among nearly 30 horses she has trained over her career.

The podium was completed by German riders Thomas Wagner on Escolar’s Emil FRH, who scored 71.234% for second place, and Carina Harnisch on DSP Sheldon Cooper with 69.660% in third. The event highlighted strong German performances throughout, with other notable competitors including Felicita Simoncic on Four Legends and Anna-Louisa Fuchs on Duvetico 3 rounding out the top five. The competition demonstrated the high level of dressage talent present in Germany and the continued dominance of Werth and Viva Gold in international dressage.
