Two people were injured in a shooting at a horse show in Grand Bay, Alabama, over the weekend, with Mobile County deputies actively searching for the suspect. Cell phone footage captured the chaotic moments after gunfire erupted, showing attendees fleeing and a man being loaded into a medical vehicle. This marks the third consecutive year a shooting has occurred at the event. The victims, shot in the stomach and leg, were treated on-site and transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities reported no known altercation leading up to the shooting, leaving the motive unclear. They described the suspect as a 6-foot-2 man with shoulder-length dreadlocks, a goatee, and tattoos on his left arm. Deputies plan to collaborate with event organizers to develop strategies to prevent future violence at similar gatherings, acknowledging the challenges of maintaining safety on private property during large events.
