New Zealand’s Tim Price achieved his best-ever result at the Badminton Horse Trials, finishing second aboard Falco. After starting 10th post-dressage and moving up to fifth following the cross-country phase, Price and Falco delivered a clear showjumping round but narrowly missed out on the win to British rider Ros Canter and Lordships Graffalo, who made history as the first combination to win Badminton three times. Price scored 33.9 penalty points, edging out third-placed Harry Mead.
Price praised Falco, a first-time Badminton competitor, for his heart and confidence, highlighting their strong partnership developed through previous events including the Paris Olympics. Other notable New Zealand performances included Tayla Mason finishing sixth, her best five-star result, and Jonelle Price placing 12th. Former champion Caroline Powell was unable to complete the cross-country phase despite a strong dressage start.
