The Sabrina Navaretta Memorial Foundation is hosting its inaugural Dog Adoption event on Saturday, April 25th, from 12 to 3 p.m. at Homes By Mara Realty in Syosset, NY. This event, held in partnership with the Syosset High School Dog Rescue Club, aims to honor the memory of Sabrina Navaretta, a University of Delaware freshman who tragically passed away in 2023 and was passionate about dog rescues. The event will feature dogs available for adoption, live entertainment, refreshments, and participation from several 501c dog rescue organizations, with Syosset High School students assisting in the adoption process.
Founded by Sabrina’s parents, John and Mara Navaretta, the Foundation supports various charitable causes including scholarships, grief assistance, and environmental protection. The partnership with the Syosset High School Dog Rescue Club, the first dog rescue club on Long Island, helps continue Sabrina’s legacy by promoting animal rescue awareness and education among students. The Foundation also raises funds through vendor sponsorships at the event, further supporting its mission to do good in Sabrina’s name.
