At the 2026 Royal Windsor Horse Show, Mulberry Lane II (Obi), ridden by Craig Kiddier, secured the prestigious Windsor hunter championship in their first appearance at the event. Despite initial setbacks during the workers, their Plan B strategy succeeded, with Obi thriving on the big occasion. Owned by Susan Tennant, Obi is an accomplished 11-year-old OBSO Quality gelding with multiple top titles, including the Royal International supreme horse and Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) supreme horse, as well as three working hunter championships at Hickstead.
Reserve champion was Harbour Master II (Marley), ridden by Jayne Ross, who also recently won the ridden coloured championship. Marley, a consistent performer and three-time lightweight class winner at Royal Windsor, is praised for his reliability and affinity for large arenas. Other notable competitors included Hannah Horton on Tigbourne, Robert Walker on IJ Countryman, and Katie Jerram-Hunnable on Goosey Gander and Starring Louis, all of whom delivered strong performances in their respective classes.
