Hali, a 6-year-old, 14.1hh mare, is this week’s featured adoptable horse from Longmeadow Rescue Ranch in Union, Mo. She arrived at the ranch alongside a group of neglected horses and has a sweet disposition and curious mindset, making her easy to handle on the ground. However, due to a previous injury to a trainer while under saddle, Hali needs to be completely started over by a professional trainer.

Despite being diagnosed with recurrent uveitis, Hali is wonderful with her eye medications and her flare-ups are minor and easily managed. She gets along well with other horses and is easy to catch. Longmeadow Rescue Ranch took their time establishing trust with Hali on the ground before evaluating her under saddle, as she was nervous and tense, likely due to bad memories from previous training.
