Entries for the Mars Maryland 5 Star event at Fair Hill, scheduled for October 16-19 in Elkton, Maryland, were announced, featuring 19 riders and 25 horses in the CCI5*-L division. The field includes international competitors from New Zealand, Switzerland, Great Britain, and Australia, with notable past five-star winners such as Boyd Martin, Felix Vogg, and Jonelle Price. Martin, the only previous Maryland winner entered this year, will ride two horses, while Oliver Townend, last year’s champion, is notably absent for the first time since the event began.
Among the competitors, Canada’s Lindsay Traisnel aims to complete her first five-star after retiring last year on cross-country. The number of horses entered has increased slightly from last year, when only eight completed the event. The full list of entries is available on the official Maryland 5 Star website.
