King Charles and Queen Camilla celebrated a remarkable day at the races with three of their horses winning across two racecourses. At York, Portcullis, a promising colt sired by Frankel, and Warrant Holder both secured victories, while Point Of Law triumphed at Newbury. All three horses are trained by the father-and-son team John and Thady Gosden, marking a successful outing for both the royal owners and their trainers.
Portcullis impressed again under jockey William Buick, confirming high expectations after a strong debut, while Warrant Holder showcased consistency and determination in a competitive handicap race. Point Of Law improved on a previous runner-up finish to win at Newbury, continuing the Gosdens’ success in the event. Meanwhile, King Charles attended the Royal Windsor Horse Show, an annual equestrian event held on Windsor Castle’s grounds, featuring various competitions and military displays.
