At the World Equestrian Center April dressage CDI4 in Ocala on April 25, 2026, U.S. Olympic bronze medalist Kasey Perry-Glass and her KWPN gelding Heartbeat W.P. won the Grand Prix Special CDI4 with a score of 69.021%. Perry-Glass highlighted the horse’s improved pirouettes, changes, and energy compared to the previous day’s Grand Prix, noting that the test suited Heartbeat’s strengths, particularly in trot work. This marks their third season competing together at the grand prix level, with consistent top-five finishes and three wins this year. Perry-Glass aims to build on this momentum toward the FEI World Championships in Aachen and the USEF Grand Prix dressage National Championships.
Canadian rider Denielle Gallagher finished second aboard her Lusitano gelding Come Back de Massa with 67.808%, while Lars Petersen (USA) placed third on Hanoverian stallion Sang Real with 66.915%. Perry-Glass emphasized the importance of team camaraderie and sees the current season as a building process to peak at major team events, aiming to secure a spot on future U.S. dressage teams. The competition continues through April 26 with the Florida Youth dressage Championships.
