Kappa Kappa, the winner of the 2025 GII Lexus Raven Run, was honored as the 2025 Pennsylvania-bred Horse of the Year, as well as champion 3-year-old filly and female sprinter at the Pennsylvania Horse Breeders Association’s 47th annual Iroquois Awards. Racing for LC Racing LLC, Cash is King LLC, and trainer Butch Reid’s Wellesley stable, Kappa Kappa won three of five starts during her 3-year-old season.
The awards also recognized other top horses including Divine Intentions (2-year-old filly), Mailata (2-year-old male), Come Prima (3-year-old male), and Candy Reward (older female and PA-preferred female). Warrior’s Reward LLC led breeding fund recipients for the second year with nearly $892,000, while Uptowncharlybrown earned the Stallion Triple Crown Award for the third consecutive year. Additionally, State Representative Tom Mehaffie received a Legislator Award, and Bell Run Rescue was honored with the PHBA Award of Merit.
