Fashion for Compassion Gala: Supporting Aiken Equine Rescue and the Community

The Fashion for Compassion Gala, hosted by White Rose Eclectics, will feature attire from Lauren Street establishments and celebrities, with well-known Aiken models showcasing clothing for both men and women. However, this event is not just about fashion – it is a fundraising event to support Aiken Equine Rescue, one of the largest horse rescues in the southeastern United States. The rescue’s mission is to rescue and rehabilitate horses that have suffered from abuse and neglect, as well as provide unique interactions with the horses to the community.

Aiken Equine Rescue offers various programs to support the community, including PonyPals Camps for children to learn about horses and core values, Trust & Release for those affected by trauma, and programs for veterans and active-duty personnel to work together on projects and share camaraderie. They also host county outreach programs and partner with Sertoma Clubs to offer hearing-impaired youth an opportunity to learn about horses and horse care in an interactive setting.

Martha Wise, owner of White Rose Eclectics, recognized the importance of supporting the community and approached Aiken Equine Rescue with the idea of hosting a fundraiser fashion show called “Fashion for Compassion Gala.” The event will bring together local Aiken businesses and celebrities to support the rescue’s mission of giving back to the community. This unique event aims to showcase local businesses while raising funds for a worthy cause.
