The U.S. Department of Homeland Security posted a brief video on social media wishing Americans a “Happy Kentucky Derby.” The 9-second clip featured Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents on horseback rounding up a man in the southwest, set to the iconic “Call to the Post” tune. The video showed the man with his hands raised, flanked by horseback agents, with his face visible but the agents’ faces blurred.
The post, shared on the platform X, ended with the Homeland Security seal and the holiday greeting. It quickly gained traction, being reposted over 550 times within hours and sparking mixed reactions from viewers, with some expressing approval and others disapproval of the video’s content and tone.
