A charity caring for 64 mini Shetland ponies expressed shock and distress after Lloyds Bank froze its accounts despite the charity having banked with them for 12 years, never being overdrawn, and maintaining funds in all three accounts. The charity emphasized the urgent need for funds to cover weekly vet bills, dental care, food, and payments to self-employed helpers and suppliers essential to keeping the charity operational.

The charity attempted multiple times to resolve the issue with the bank but felt ignored. Lloyds Bank apologized for the distress caused, stating that they have now received the necessary information and the charity’s account has been reinstated and is fully operational.
