Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour and Mount St John Freestyle Achieve New Personal Bests with Victory at Hagen CDI4*

Denmark’s Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour and her horse Mount St John Freestyle continue to excel in dressage, recently achieving a personal best score of 83.09% to win the Hagen CDI4 grand prix special by a significant margin. This victory follows their earlier success at the Herning CDI5 in March, where they scored an even higher personal best of 84.17%. Cathrine, who became the world number one dressage rider in April, praised their deepening partnership and Freestyle’s exceptional generosity and fitness at 17 years old.

Co-owner Emma Blundell highlighted the remarkable resurgence of Freestyle after missing the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, attributing their renewed success to careful nurturing and Cathrine’s dedicated training and management. The team’s strong bond and trust have propelled them to new heights this spring, with Freestyle showing a relaxed yet masterful showmanship that continues to impress their supporters and the wider dressage community.
