Canby High Equestrian Team Wraps Up Regular Season with Strong Performances

The Canby High equestrian team concluded their regular season with strong performances at the North Valley competition held June 9-11 at the Linn County Fairgrounds in Albany. Key highlights include Brookelyn Weis securing first place in dressage and Trail Equitation, and Addison Heinemann winning Saddle Seat Equitation. The team also excelled in group events, with Canby A winning Freestyle Fours and placing well in other team categories. Canby finished third overall with a score of 482, behind Dallas and McMinnville.

Meanwhile, North Marion and Kennedy teams also showcased notable results. Harper Sohlman of North Marion earned top placements in dressage, Reining, and Showmanship, while Kennedy riders Sydney Hudson and Reaghan Williams took first in Driving and Keyhole events, respectively. Kennedy’s team performed well in relay and flag events, finishing second in Canadian Flags. These competitions served as a final preparation before the state meet scheduled for May 7-10 in Redmond.
