Lake County Fire Rescue crews responded to two separate incidents over the weekend in Bay Lake, Florida, where a bull and a horse became trapped in dried-up, muddy ponds. Both animals were stuck in thick mud and unable to free themselves, prompting rescue efforts to ensure their safety without causing injury.
The rescue teams from stations 110 and 111 worked to keep the animals calm while assessing the best way to free them. The Sumter County Special Operations Team was called in to assist with the bull rescue, utilizing their specialized large animal rescue equipment, while Lake County Fire Rescue successfully freed the horse on their own.
