Two horses have withdrawn from the Mars Badminton Horse Trials before the cross-country phase on 9 May. Irish rider Georgie Goss pulled out her 16-year-old mare Feloupe, who was tied for 15th after dressage with a score of 30.8, aiming for a third top-30 finish at Badminton. British rider Alex Bragg also withdrew Quindiva, another 16-year-old mare, after the horse was held at the first trot-up and was placed 50th following dressage with a score of 39. Bragg cited Quindiva not feeling 100% as the reason for the withdrawal, emphasizing the importance of being at peak condition for the challenging event.
Following these withdrawals, 59 horse-and-rider pairs remain to compete on Eric Winter’s cross-country course, starting with Harry Meade and Et Hop Du Matz at 11:30 am. Fans can watch the event live or catch up via a 2026 Badminton TV Pass, available through ClipMyHorse.TV or the Badminton app, which also offers live results and Radio Badminton broadcasts.
