Turkmenistan to Participate in Windsor International Equestrian Games with Ahal-Teke Horse Exhibition

The Turkmenistan delegation will participate in the prestigious Royal Windsor international equestrian games held in London on May 16-17, as announced by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister R. Meredov. Alongside the competitions, Turkmenistan is organizing an exhibition showcasing Ahal-teke horses and the nation’s horse breeding traditions. The Windsor horse show, held annually since 1943 in Windsor Castle’s park, features over 130 competition classes across disciplines like dressage and show jumping, attracting more than 50,000 visitors and royal family members.

This year’s participation holds special significance as it coincides with a year dedicated to Ahal-teke horses, under the motto “Independent neutral Turkmenistan – the homeland of purposeful winged horses.” President Serdar Berdimuhamedov highlighted the importance of thorough preparation for the Turkmen delegation’s visit to London, emphasizing the event as a key platform for cultural exchange and promoting Turkmenistan’s equestrian heritage on an international stage.
