Tryon Fall CDE Hosts 2025 USEF Combined Driving National Championships with Multiple Division Winners

The 2025 USEF Combined Driving National Championship took place at the Tryon Fall CDE in Mill Spring, N.C., featuring seven divisions from training to advanced levels. Notable winners included Melissa Wessel and her American Sport Pony Megan’s Valentine, who claimed the preliminary single horse title in their first season at that level, and Ryley Miller with Humorist, who won the intermediate single horse division after excelling in dressage and marathon phases. Raymond Helmuth and his Dutch Warmblood stallion Kendro secured the advanced single horse national championship with a strong performance, while Leslie Berndl and Paxton E-S took the training single horse title.

In the four-in-hand division, reigning champion Chester Weber earned his 22nd national title with a team of eight horses, delivering the highest dressage score of the event. Other champions included Michael Cece with a training pair debut and Alice Tarjan with preliminary pairs, both demonstrating skillful performances across all phases. The event highlighted the dedication and partnership between drivers and their horses, with many competitors aiming for future international competitions.
