After a horseback riding accident at 15, which resulted in severe injuries and the loss of her horse, the author was told she would never ride again. Determined to prove the doctors wrong, she won her first jumping competition just a few months later with her mother’s support. This experience led her to dedicate her life to adventure and never saying “I can’t”.

Despite facing resistance as a woman in male-dominated fields, such as motorcycle stunt riding and piloting, the author persevered and found success. She trained as a pilot, flew aerobatic planes, and worked in Botswana and South Africa as a pilot for chartered planes and a luxury travel company. She eventually started her own company, Tiger Airways, with her partner Chris.

After a successful career in aviation, the author now lives a quieter life in a village in Lincolnshire, volunteering in care homes with her dog Tiger. Nearly 50 years after her lost stunt rider application was found, she reflects on the adventures she has had and believes that everything happens for a reason, even if the reason isn’t immediately clear.
