Spice Bag delivered an impressive debut win, showing strong finishing speed and potential to handle distances up to 1,400 meters. Favourite Sharp Planet also showed promise by taking an early lead and running well, while Ever Wealth and Gaudium Magnum had positive debut performances despite some challenges. Other newcomers like Almighty Warrior and Show Me Your Love made moderate efforts, and Talents Champion was unable to replicate a previous strong showing.

The race saw several incidents: Sharp Planet and Spice Bag were sent for post-race sampling; Show Me Your Love jumped awkwardly and lost ground; Ever Wealth had a hind plate refitted and was corrected for shifting out at the start; Gaudium Magnum jumped fairly but raced greenly under pressure; Secret Ingredient jumped awkwardly, raced keenly, and struggled with track conditions; and Talents Champion shifted out at the start. Veterinary inspections post-race found no significant issues for Secret Ingredient or Talents Champion.
