Sixth Grader Izzy Callahan Competes for $20,000 Prize to Support Ozarks Pet Rescues and Wildlife Conservation

Willow Springs Middle School sixth grader Izzy Callahan is competing in the 2026 Jr. Ranger Competition, an online contest sponsored by Ranger Rick magazine and the National Wildlife Federation (NWF). Izzy hopes to win the $20,000 prize to support Ozarks Pet Rescues, fund her veterinary studies, and donate to local family programs. Her favorite animal is the horse, and she aspires to adopt a wild mustang in the future.

Currently in sixth place, Izzy needs to move up to fifth place by 9 p.m. Thursday to remain eligible for the prize and a feature in Ranger Rick magazine. The contest serves as a fundraiser for the NWF, allowing voters to cast one free vote daily, with additional votes available through donations. Supporters can view Izzy’s profile and vote at https://jr-ranger.org/2026/izzy-d567.
