The Sandhills Quarter Horse Show will return to the Permian Basin on May 9th and 10th at the Outback arena near the Ector County Coliseum. This two-day event features premier horse competitions and horsemanship displays, with exhibitors and their horses dressed and groomed to match for an aesthetically pleasing presentation. The family-friendly show coincides with Mother’s Day weekend and includes special adult classes such as the playful “don’t spill your wine” competition.
Additionally, the event supports youth riders by awarding scholarship money to juniors, seniors, and incoming college students who compete, with funds sent directly to their colleges. The scholarship committee will determine the distribution of these funds. More information about the show can be found on the Ector County Coliseum website.
