Ros Canter and her horse Lordships Graffalo made history by winning the MARS Badminton Horse Trials for the third time, a first in the event’s 77-year history. Canter secured the victory with a composed show jumping round, incurring only two time penalties and finishing with a comfortable 10.2 penalty lead, earning the £125,000 prize. The 14-year-old British Sport Horse delivered a flawless performance, impressing with his calmness and agility throughout the competition.
New Zealander Tim Price claimed second place with Falco after an excellent clear round, while Harry Meade, despite a fence down, finished third. Other notable performances included Tom Jackson in fourth and Katie Magee in fifth, both achieving career-best results. Harry Meade praised Canter’s technical skill and composure under pressure, highlighting her legacy in the sport. The best-placed U.S. rider was Cosby Green, finishing 22nd on Jos Ufo de Quidam.
