The Reynolds County Saddle Club is hosting its first-ever Professional rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA)-sanctioned rodeo in Ellington, Missouri, on June 19-20 at the Reynolds County Saddle Club arena. This landmark event elevates the local rodeo tradition to a national level, featuring top professional competitors in events such as bull riding, barrel racing, and team roping. Supported in part by a grant from the Taum Sauk Fund, the rodeo promises two nights of thrilling competition, family activities, concessions, and a festive atmosphere for both locals and visitors.
Ellington, located in the scenic Missouri Ozarks, offers visitors a unique blend of rodeo excitement and natural beauty, with nearby attractions including the Current and Black Rivers, Johnson’s Shut-Ins, Elephant Rocks State Park, and extensive trails in the Mark Twain National Forest. The Reynolds County Saddle Club’s commitment to horsemanship, youth involvement, and community engagement is highlighted by this event, which aims to foster regional pride and provide a memorable experience for rodeo fans and outdoor enthusiasts alike.
