Two rescue ponies, Pretzel and Peanut, were part of a group of 25 ponies rescued from Gelligaer Common in Wales in July 2023. They were in terrible condition and terrified of humans when taken in by HorseWorld. The team faced challenges in gaining the ponies’ trust, but with time and training, they became comfortable with human touch.
Pretzel and Peanut lived in a field near the charity’s rehab yard to adjust to normal life and interactions with humans. In November, they were rehomed together to start a new chapter. HorseWorld’s chief executive emphasized the organization’s belief in giving every horse a second chance at a happy life, and expressed gratitude for the dedication of the team in rehabilitating the ponies.
The success story of Pretzel and Peanut showcases HorseWorld’s commitment to rehabilitating and rehoming horses in need. Despite doubts about their future, the ponies now have a bright future ahead of them with their new family. The organization wishes them a happy Christmas and highlights the importance of their horse-centered rehabilitation and retraining program.
