Reinvesting Passion: Warner Equine Builds Community Through Equestrian Training

Gillian Warner, a lifelong lover of horses, has launched Warner Equine, an equestrian business in Centre County offering lessons, training, and clinics. Warner’s passion for horses began at a young age, leading her to pursue a career in the equine world after completing her education at Penn State University and the University of Washington. She aims to build partnerships between horses and riders while focusing on the science of animal behavior in her training.

Warner emphasizes the benefits of horse riding beyond physical activity, highlighting the responsibility, dedication, and empathy that caring for horses can teach individuals. She offers lessons at Tadpole Lane Farm, where students can learn not only riding skills but also horse grooming, body language, and communication. Warner believes that horses can help individuals develop personal growth and mindfulness by living in the moment and fostering awareness.

In addition to offering lessons and training through Warner Equine, Warner also teaches in the lesson program at Tadpole Lane Farm. She encourages local youth to participate in summer camps to develop skills in horse care and riding. Warner’s goal is to use equestrian sports as a way to build communities and provide insight and training to horses while emphasizing the importance of developing empathy and awareness through interactions with horses.
