North Fork Pour LLC has applied to transfer their Montana All-Alcoholic Beverages with Catering Endorsement License to be operated at Northern Lights Saloon in Flathead County. Residents of Flathead County, adjoining Montana counties, and adjoining counties in another state can protest this transfer by submitting a letter with specific information by March 1, 2025. Valid protest grounds include concerns about the applicant’s qualifications or the impact on the welfare of the people in the vicinity of the proposed location.
Protest letters must include the protestor’s full name, address, the license number, the applicant’s name, an indication of protest, grounds for protesting, and the protestor’s signature. Protests must be postmarked to the Department of Revenue in Helena, Montana. If the transfer is protested, a public hearing will be held in Helena or Polebridge within 90 days, where valid protestors can testify on the grounds stated in their letter. The Department of Revenue will then decide whether to approve or deny the license transfer.
Additional information on the protest process and relevant Montana Code Annotated statutes can be found online. Questions can be directed to Andrew Erickson, Compliance Specialist for the Department of Revenue’s Alcoholic Beverage Control Division. Protests must be submitted by March 1, 2025, and the Department of Revenue will notify the public of the hearing’s time, date, and location for those who submit valid protests.
