Mullin, who has a personal connection to autism through his autistic son Albie, expressed pride in using his platform to raise awareness and support families affected by autism. His involvement builds on his previous advocacy work, including raising autism awareness during his time at Wrexham and serving as an ambassador for the charity Your Space.
