The grand opening will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony, donation presentation to local nonprofits, and the unveiling of the facility’s offerings, including historical racing machines, sportsbook, and dining options.

The $100 million complex is expected to generate $125 million in annual economic impact, support 220 permanent jobs, and contribute to local businesses and nonprofit organizations. The facility’s support of Fight Like a Dozer and The Opportunity Center was highlighted, emphasizing the impact on families battling pediatric cancer and individuals with disabilities.

Churchill Downs CEO Bill Carstanjen praised the project’s completion and emphasized its broader impact on the horse racing industry, with a portion of wagers reinvested into Kentucky’s thoroughbred industry. Elected officials, including State Senator Gary Boswell and State Rep. Suzanne Miles, commended the job creation and economic benefits of the facility, anticipating its positive effects on the region and the state.
