Kynren Expands Cavalry Team with New Horses Ahead of Summer Opening

Kynren – The Storied Lands, a new historical theme park in County Durham, is expanding its cavalry team ahead of its opening this summer. Three new horses—Tulipo, a six-year-old Andalusian, Marshall Bugsy, a four-year-old Shire, and Tonti, a five-year-old Andalusian—have joined the team to support both the Kynren night show, “An Epic Tale of England,” and the immersive theme park. These horses, chosen for their temperament, versatility, and visibility during nighttime performances, will participate in medieval jousting, carriage driving, live-action shows, and stunts.

The new horses have settled in well, described as calm and good-natured, adapting quickly to their new environment. Laurie Robinson, director of Cavalry and Estates, emphasized the importance of ensuring the horses feel comfortable and are trained steadily to develop appropriately. Kynren – The Storied Lands is set to open from July 18 to September 12, offering visitors a unique historical experience enhanced by these skilled equine performers.
