Horse Rescued from Muddy Riverbank in Shropshire by Fire Service and Farmer

A horse named Cody was rescued from a riverbank in Halford, Craven Arms, Shropshire, after becoming about 70% submerged in mud and water. The Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service responded to the incident on Monday evening, working alongside a local farmer who provided a JCB machine to aid in the rescue.

A veterinarian sedated Cody to ensure his safety and calmness during the operation. Fire crews then slid two rescue strops under the horse, allowing the JCB to lift him out of the mud and water to safety. The collaborative effort between emergency services and the local community successfully saved the horse from a dangerous situation.
