Honda Launches Middle East’s First Motorcycle Safety Training Program for Commercial Riders

Honda Motor Co. (Middle East & Africa), in partnership with Al-Futtaim Honda, has launched the region’s first dedicated motorcycle safety training program for commercial delivery riders in Dubai. This initiative addresses the growing risks faced by riders amid the city’s booming food delivery sector. The two-day training, held at Dubai Autodrome and led by experts from Honda’s Rainbow Motor School in Japan, combines theory and practical exercises on emergency braking, defensive riding, and hazard prediction. Riders from major platforms like Talabat and Noon reported increased confidence and safer riding skills following the sessions.

Aligned with Honda’s global vision of zero fatalities by 2050 and a 50% reduction in traffic deaths by 2030, the program emphasizes collaboration with local authorities and a “Train the Trainer” model to scale safety education across the UAE and the Middle East. Honda also supports the initiative with digital tools, including an educational video accessible via QR code, to reinforce safe riding habits. This comprehensive approach reflects Honda’s commitment to reshaping road safety culture and protecting commercial riders, leveraging its position as the world’s largest motorcycle manufacturer to foster safer urban mobility.
