Chaotic Horseback Riding Incident on Sarasota Causeway Sends Two to Hospital

A horseback riding excursion in Sarasota turned chaotic when spooked horses led to riders being thrown off and two people being hospitalized. The incident occurred on a causeway in Sarasota County, with horses from Carousel Sea Horses getting spooked and causing chaos. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported among the riders or the horses, and the animals were eventually corralled into a trailer with the help of Bradenton Police.

C Ponies owner Carmen Hanson expressed relief that no one was seriously hurt during the incident, which she described as a scary and unfortunate accident. The horses involved in the chaos were lucky to escape without injuries as well. One rider suffered fractured ribs and is considering legal action. Carousel Sea Horses, the company that owned the spooked horses, has not yet commented on the incident.

The guided horseback riding excursion took a dangerous turn when horses bolted down a busy avenue, causing riders to be thrown off or jump from their horses. The incident highlighted the unpredictable nature of horses and the importance of safety measures during such excursions. Despite the chaos, authorities were able to safely corral the horses and prevent any accidents from occurring.
