Breeders’ Cup to Return to Keeneland in 2026, Marking a Major Homecoming for Thoroughbred Racing

Keeneland Race Course in central Kentucky will host the Breeders’ Cup World Championships on October 30-31, 2026, marking a celebrated return of this prestigious global Thoroughbred racing event to Lexington. Community leaders and racing executives, including Lexington Mayor Linda Gorton, Keeneland President Shannon Arvin, Breeders’ Cup CEO Drew Fleming, and Breeders’ Cup Festival Chair Kip Cornett, gathered to officially welcome the event back and emphasize its significance to the region known as the heart of horse country.

Tickets for the 2026 World Championships will be available to the public starting April 21 at noon ET.
