Wild About Art Show Donates $1,000 to Wild Horse Ranch Sanctuary

The “Wild About Art” show, a collaboration between the Wildlife Artists of the Carolinas and the Waterway Art Association, recently raised and donated $1,000 to the Wild Horse Ranch Sanctuary in Supply. The funds, generated through raffling donated small art pieces during the October event at The Sunset River Gallery in Calabash, will support the care of over 30 rescued horses at the sanctuary. The ranch not only provides a safe haven for horses recovering from trauma but also offers various activities such as boarding, riding camps, trail rides, and pony rides at fundraising festivals.

The Wildlife Artists of the Carolinas is a nonprofit dedicated to educating the community about local wildlife through art, while the Waterway Art Association, celebrating its 35th year, promotes artistic growth in Brunswick County and nearby areas. Both organizations use art to foster appreciation for nature and support community engagement. More information about the ranch and these art groups, including membership and upcoming events, is available on their respective websites.
