Wegmans Employees Volunteer to Support Sunshine Horses Rescue in Clay, NY

Sunshine Horses, a nonprofit horse rescue in Central New York, is receiving support from Wegmans Great Northern employees who are volunteering to paint fences after raising funds for supplies over the past two years. The group’s efforts highlight community involvement in maintaining the facility, which rescues, rehabilitates, retrains, and rehomes horses, having placed over 300 horses since its founding in 2003.

The organization also honored longtime volunteer Mike Tebo, who has led the facility management crew for four years, overseeing essential farm maintenance tasks such as machinery upkeep, stall and fence repairs, and pasture mowing. Sunshine Horses is accredited by the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries and continues to rely on dedicated volunteers and community partnerships to support its mission.
