The Oak Grove Racing and Gaming season, led by Racing Secretary Kevin Mack and Director of Racing Cara Collins, successfully highlighted the United States Harness Drivers Club (USHDC), enabling numerous charitable donations to benefit communities. Following the season’s conclusion, the USHDC continues its support for organizations focused on the welfare of standardbred horses and therapeutic programs for children and adults. Recent donations have been made to Bit-by-Bit Medical Therapeutic Riding Center, Tomorrow’s Rainbow, Inc., Vinceremos Therapeutic Riding Center, and Rockin’ T Ranch, all of which provide various equine-assisted therapies and support for abused horses.
USHDC President Dein Spriggs emphasized the ongoing need for financial assistance to these charities, noting that the club’s members donate 100% of their earnings from driving events to sustain their mission. Since 1998, the USHDC, formerly the Florida Amateur Driving Club, has consistently contributed to numerous worthy causes, underscoring their commitment to community welfare beyond the racing season.
