US Equestrian Honors Boyd Martin, Daniel Geitner, and Others at 2025 Pegasus Awards Dinner

At the 2025 Pegasus Awards Dinner during the USEF Annual Meeting in Louisville, Ky., US Equestrian honored several distinguished equestrians for their achievements. Boyd Martin was named the 2025 International Equestrian of the Year after a stellar season with multiple top-five finishes in FEI events and a brief tenure as the world’s number one ranked eventing athlete. Daniel Geitner earned the 2025 National Equestrian of the Year title, recognized for his lifelong dedication, versatility, and success in the hunter ring, including top placements in the USHJA International Hunter Derby Championship Challenge Round. Additionally, the USEF Heart Horse Award was presented to Kiss Me Blue “Chrissy” for her impactful work with Maryland Therapeutic Riding.

Other notable honorees included Jan Decker, who received the 2025 USEF Lifetime Achievement Award for her decades of service as a trainer, judge, and leader in Arabian horse sport governance, and Mikayla Clement, named Junior Equestrian of the Year for her leadership and advocacy within the Arabian horse community. The evening also recognized various individuals and institutions with awards such as the Richard E. McDevitt Award of Merit and the Pegasus Medal of Honor, celebrating contributions across the equestrian sport spectrum.
