US Equestrian has introduced a new prize structure for its Interscholastic Athlete Program, designed for students in grades 5-12 involved in any equestrian discipline. Participants, who must be US Equestrian members or subscribers but do not need to compete in USEF-licensed shows, can earn recognition by logging at least 100 hours annually in riding, driving, or training, or by competing in a minimum of three horse shows or events each year.
The updated program rewards student athletes with a unique prize for each year of participation, ranging from a patch and pin in the first year to a tote bag in the eighth year. This initiative helps young equestrians document their commitment to the sport, offering valuable credentials for college applications or resumes. More information and resources for participation are available on the US Equestrian website.
