Traveling Veterinarian Faces Sexual Battery and Federal Threat Charges in Multi-State Case

Dr. Gregory Ford, a 52-year-old traveling veterinarian specializing in horses, was arrested in Florida on charges of sexually battering a teenage girl and federal charges for threatening the girl’s mother. The allegations stem from an inappropriate sexual relationship that began when the girl was 15 and involved encounters across multiple states over about two years. The girl’s mother discovered explicit texts and reported them, leading to investigations by law enforcement in Alabama and Florida. Ford allegedly sent threatening messages to the mother, claiming he had paid a CIA contact to kill her.

Ford faces state charges in Florida for sexual battery of a minor and federal charges for threatening communications in Alabama. He remains in custody without bond, and authorities suspect there may be additional victims due to his traveling profession. Investigators are urging anyone with information about other potential victims to come forward.
