The Mare and Foal Sanctuary is currently caring for 130 equines across its four sites in the South West, all of which were rescued due to critical need of intervention. The charity is also monitoring around 200 horses in the region after concerns were raised about their welfare, with many suffering from neglect and lack of basic care.
