The Scottish SPCA’s Aberdeenshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre in Drumoak celebrated Boxing Day with special activities for the animals in its care. Staff organized a group walk for the dogs and prepared festive meals, serving turkey to dogs, turkey and salmon to cats, herbs and vegetables to smaller animals, and flapjacks to horses. Additionally, toys and treats donated before Christmas were wrapped and given to the animals, allowing each to choose a present.
Naomi Clancy, the centre’s manager, highlighted the team’s efforts to make the festive period special for the animals, emphasizing that all animals deserve a treat, especially at Christmas. The centre’s activities reflected their commitment to providing care and joy to the animals during the holiday season.
