Saratoga Week Highlights: Whitney Stakes, Hall of Fame Induction, Jockey Club Conference, and Fasig-Tipton Yearling Sale Coverage

The upcoming week in Thoroughbred racing centers on Saratoga Springs, N.Y., featuring marquee events including two Breeders’ Cup “Win and You’re In” qualifiers on August 2: the Whitney Stakes (Longines Classic) and the FanDuel Fourstardave Stakes (FanDuel Mile). Leading up to these races, the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame will induct notable figures including Smarty Jones on August 1, and industry leaders will gather for The Jockey Club Round Table Conference on July 31. Additionally, the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Sale of Selected Yearlings takes place August 4-5, showcasing top-bred yearlings from prominent stallions like Into Mischief, Gun Runner, and Flightline, with America’s Best Racing providing live coverage.

Broadcast coverage is extensive, with FOX Sports airing the Whitney and Fourstardave Stakes during a “Saratoga Saturday” show, and FS2 featuring international Breeders’ Cup qualifiers from England and Hong Kong. Del Mar hosts the Clement Hirsch Stakes, a Breeders’ Cup prep, with races from multiple tracks available on FanDuel TV and the Racetrack Television Network (RTN). The Jockey Club Round Table and Hall of Fame induction ceremonies will be livestreamed online. America’s Best Racing will also stream “Whitney Day LIVE!” and live coverage from the Fasig-Tipton sale across Facebook, X, and YouTube, providing comprehensive access to this pivotal week in horse racing.
